2011 RI Sport Fishing Report for Charter Boat Mako II

Oct. 22, 2011-Bass fishing is still good at the island. Sea bass excellent weather permitting. Porgies are hot right now. Had 25 blackfish the other day. Try to take advatage of blackfish and sea bass while you can. It is going to be a long winter.
Sept. 27, 2011- Captain says: The striped bass are the largest of the season now. Striper fishing is still hot.
Aug. 8, 2011-Captain says: Bass fishing continues to be red hot. Fishing will continue to be good through September
June 29, 2011-Block Island North End lots of blue fish and schoolie bass. Block Island Southwest corner fewer bass but bigger up to 47 inches long. Fluke fishing is steadily getting better.
June 21, 2011-The captain says that striped bass fishing is as great right now. Fluke fishing is picking up with a lot of 8 pound keepers. However, the dog fish are in at Block Island.
June 13, 2011-The captain says the big bass are in. Largest to date is 48 pounds. Still have a few dates to choose from call now.

Dave says: The bass are in! Fishing is very good. Flounder fishing requires patience. Get away from life's stresses and spend the day fishing with us!
May 24, 2011 The first RI fishing report of the year:
Capt. Dave reports that, "fishing is as good as it gets." Fisherman on the Mako II are catching striped bass and flounder. The bass fishing is red hot now.
2010 was a fantastic fishing season! Thanks to all of our returning customers for keeping us in business and thanks to all of our new anglers. 2011 should show us some great fishing, too. We are now accepting bookings for the upcoming season. Be ready, the COD are back!
